Mele Fong aka Ukulele Mele tells the story behind the song Hawaii Aloha, written by a missionary in the 1800s at the request of a Hawaiian king. This traditional Hawaiian song in the Hawaiian language is a love song about the state of Hawaii. Today, the song is typically sung at the end of a public gathering to signal the end of the event.
