Jungle Rain (Hawaii’s tropical rainforests) | Hawaiian Music by Ukulele Mele - lanikai-beach.net

Mele Fong and her husband Richard Tom – The Hawaiian Serenaders – sing and play Jungle Rain on and u-bass over photos of 6 areas of tropical rainforests in the Hawaiian Islands. Hawaii is the only state in the U.S. with tropical rainforests.

Mele’s arrangement of Jungle Rain is in C with I Wanna Rest Strum OR Chuck Strum for ‘ukulele.

This hapa haole song (Hawaiian style music with English words) was written by prolific songwriter R. Alex Anderson, and David M. Kupele in 1959. Groups such The Hawaiian Surfers and Manao Company sing the song with tight harmonies and a jazzy feel.
