From my ukulele diary 148 – original tune
Recorded 25 August 2022
Having a moment of calm in the middle of intensive piano practice that’s going on for a while. Inspiration came from a couple of posts by Adrian Bloom. I have a soft spot for Hawaiian music (both traditional and contemporary). The sunny nature with simple chord progression. In this exercise, I aimed to look at chords in different shapes to create more of an open sound (I love open chord voicing!). Arpeggio and scale (in that order) that I’m playing are embellished with neighbour tones and chromatic approach notes.
Chords are picked by 4-finger (fingerstyle strum), scales & arpeggios by the thumb.
