Hawaiian Wedding Song (Our Hawaiian style wedding in Maryland) | Hawaiian Music by Ukulele Mele - lanikai-beach.net

Fong & her husband Richard Tom – The Serenaders – sing English & Hawaiian and play the Hawaiian Wedding in G with Morse Code Strum on and u-bass over photos of when the couple met and married (words and chords below) #playuke #hawaiianmusic

This love song was made popular Elvis Presley who sang it to his grandmother in the 1961 movie Blue Hawaii. Originally titled “Ke Kali Nei Au” (Waiting For Thee), Charles E. King composed the song with lyrics in Hawaiian in 1926 for his operetta, Prince of Hawaii. In 1958, Al Hoffman and Dick Manning translated the original Hawaiian words into English, christening the song as the “Hawaiian Wedding Song.”
