Mele’s arrangement of the song is in C and D with 2 Waltz Strums for ‘ukulele.
This is the signature song of the Maui Ukulele Pops Band. A member rose to the challenge in 2012 to come up with a song with lyrics to introduce Band members to audiences at shows. The tune was taken from the song Home on the Range written by Brewster Higley and Daniel Kelley in 1870s. Mele arranged the derivative work. Band members took Mele’s ukulele classes at Kaunoa Senior Center for adults 55 and better, many since Mele began teaching in January 2009.
