This medley of USDA Forest Service songs tells stories of wildlife prevention and conservation education. Smokey Bear’s Picnic was adapted by Fong and Rita Cantu in 1993 from the 1907 original Teddy Bear’s Picnic by John Walter Bratton with lyrics added by Jimmy Kennedy in 1932. The Ballad of Woodsy Owl was written by Marion Bartoo, and arranged by Jeff Conrad, Dave Kimber, and Bob Pelli.
